VP Global Delivery, Wizeline

You’ve been with Wizeline for nearly a year, but what are some career highlights leading up to joining Wizeline?

I have worked in the IT industry for over 25 years. In 2002, I founded my first company, GlobalPhone, with the mission to provide VoIP services to call centers using our custom-built platform. We later sold the company to America Movil.

Subsequently, I oversaw the development of a delivery center for MCI in Argentina with a capacity for more than 500 employees. I also held a Game Producer position with Zinga, where I managed the development of Farmville for the iPhone.

Additionally, I was involved with Nextive, a gaming services company that we sold to Globant in 2011. Later that year, I founded a gaming company in San Francisco, RedPoint Labs, where we created the first real-time multiplayer game for Facebook. We expanded our studio to Argentina and eventually sold the company to Sony in 2016.

Prior to joining Wizeline, I spent a year at Globant, followed by a role at Softvision, which was later sold to Cognizant.

You are head of Delivery at Wizeline. Describe what that means and what are the core responsibilities of your role?

As Head of Delivery at Wizeline, I am responsible for leading the global delivery organization with a focus on value-driven software solutions for clients. Some of my key responsibilities include managing project execution, improving delivery models, and maintaining the culture of excellence within the teams. I collaborate with clients, leaders of business units, and multi-functional teams to ensure our services are in alignment with business goals and use innovation and AI to improve software development results.

As Head of Delivery, is there an average day for you, or is every day different?

Nothing is static as Head of Delivery. Some days are dedicated to meeting with business unit leaders on scaling our delivery capabilities or engaging with specific client interactions to drive maximum value. While other days are used for mentoring teams, optimizing company processes, and figuring out how to use AI and innovations in our delivery model. No matter the activity we do on a certain day, the outcome is always the same. Our clients succeed, our teams are enabled, and we outpace our competition.

In your mind, what are the 3-5 key elements necessary for successful delivery?

Some of the key elements that define a good delivery are:

  • Solid Execution and Governance: Having the right frameworks, methodologies, and oversight to drive consistent, high-quality results.
  • Clear Strategy and Alignment: Teams, clients, and stakeholders must be aligned on goals, priorities, and metrics from the start.
  • Talent and team Empowerment: Build high-performing teams, foster collaboration, and create environments where people can do their best work.
  • Client Partnership: Going beyond execution, understanding client needs, and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Continuous improvement and innovation: Leverage AI, automation, and tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability.

How do you ensure delivery is successful when dealing with different teams in different time zones?

Ensuring delivery across teams in different time zones requires a combination of process and structure, and the key is communication. At Wizeline we focus on:

  • Asynchronous Collaboration and Clear Processes: We have designed an easy-to-understand workflow that allows teams to engage across different time zones without waiting or being blocked.
  • Strategic Scheduling and Overlap: We configure the working hours so we can collaborate in real-time and still maintain a reasonable work-life balance.
  • Transparency and Strong Communication: We encourage a culture of visibility and proactive updates to ensure everyone is aligned.
  • Local Leadership Empowerment: We ensure strong leadership. A particular region is given autonomy; however it is guided by a global delivery standard.
  • AI And Technology Efficiency: We use AI and automation to boost productivity, coordinate better, and improve knowledge sharing.

One of the primary principles of good management is that adopting order without imposing rigidity is the key to allowing remote teams to work without snags and achieving maximum business productivity.

What do you love most about Wizeline?

What I love most about Wizeline is the culture of innovation and collaboration. We constantly push the boundaries of what’s possible, whether it’s through cutting-edge technology, AI-driven solutions, or new ways to deliver value to our clients. Our teams are incredibly talented, passionate people who challenge each other to grow while maintaining a strong sense of teamwork and support. The ability to solve complex problems at scale while working alongside such a dynamic and forward-thinking group makes Wizeline truly special.

Who in your life has inspired you the most, and given you the most motivation to succeed?

I’ve been fortunate to have several mentors and role models throughout my career. Still, the biggest inspiration has come from leaders who combine vision with empathy—those who push for excellence while genuinely investing in people’s growth. Whether it was a manager who challenged me to take on more responsibility or a team that demonstrated resilience in the face of challenges, I’ve drawn motivation from those around me. Ultimately, I’m driven by the opportunity to create impact—helping teams succeed, delivering meaningful results for clients, and shaping the future of technology-driven delivery.

Who is a leader that you admire and why?

I admire my mother. She was able to move forward even in the most complex situations. Raising four kids is a huge deal.

You’ve recently relocated to Guadalajara. How has the transition been from Buenos Aires to Mexico? What has been the most challenging part of the transition?

I have been here so many times that I feel at home already. 🙂 But speaking of challenges, sometimes the language, which is similar and different at the same time, leads me to confusion when ordering food.

What do you miss most about Argentina, and what do you love most about Mexico?

What I miss most about Argentina is sharing mate with friends, family gatherings, and, of course, the passion for football. There’s something special about the way Argentinians connect and celebrate life together.

Last question: What is the one guilty pleasure that you can’t live without?

Definitely Argentine asado and primarily mollejas. No matter where I am, there’s nothing like gathering with friends or family around a parrilla, enjoying good food and conversation. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a tradition and a moment to connect. Even in Mexico, I make sure to keep that ritual alive whenever I can!
